Darlene Leiker, creator of BouxbArt™, is a McKinney-area artist known for her unconventional approach to acrylic painting. Inspired by nature and shaped by personal experiences with breast cancer, her artwork brings together creativity, resilience, and a commitment to supporting breast cancer research.

For Darlene Leiker, art is more than a form of self-expression. It is a way to transform personal experiences into something beautiful while supporting a cause close to her heart.
Darlene is the creator of BouxbArt™, an unconventional form of impressionistic painting inspired by nature, travel, and life's experiences.
Her artistic journey began in 2012 when she created a painting as a playful gift for her husband. What started as a personal expression of creativity gradually evolved into a distinctive artistic practice.
Using non-toxic acrylic paints and her own body as a painting tool, Darlene developed an unusual approach to creating original artwork.
In 2013, both Darlene and her mother underwent breast surgeries. These experiences gave her artwork a deeper purpose and strengthened her commitment to supporting breast cancer research.
Art with a Purpose
Through BouxbArt™, Darlene combines artistic expression with philanthropy.
According to her official website, 100% of donations received for her paintings go to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
Her paintings celebrate the beauty of nature while carrying a message of hope, resilience, and compassion.
